My process always begins by hand

The spark of an idea inspires me to reach for graphite or pen. Perhaps a rough sketch first… lines along the page, basic shapes and elements, a concept drawn. Some designs come together beautifully with ink alone. Most are at their best when I paint them with my watercolors. As water dries on paper, subtle tonal shifts and gradations of color occur. There’s an inherent beauty in the unique imperfections that arise… It is those details that I want you to notice when you hold my fabrics or look closely at my art.
