Shell Rummel Rugs now at Anthropologie

When designing the Natural Affinity collection of soft wool rugs for Surya, I chose a mixture of softly serene, organic concepts as well as quietly elegant designs that were directly inspired by elements found in nature. Each rug in the collection honors the natural attraction and compatibility between ocean currents and layered tidal seascapes. I love incorporating subtle modern coastal shapes and textures into my collections and feel there is a relatable resonance to my designs, which can enhance a variety of interior spaces.

Validating, to see the Shell Rummel Natural Affinity Pebble rug now featured at Anthropologie.  I absolutely love when our products find the perfect home;) 

Process: How Our Rugs are Made...

I am so proud to work with Surya on my wool rugs and silk pillow collections. Not only are the final products absolutely gorgeous but even more than that, this is a company that is giving back to the beautiful people who all give so much of themselves to create our products.

This video of the process of how our rugs are made is fascinating to watch...  I am humbled by the process and grateful to those skilled artisans whose artistry, time and energy goes into the making of my collections.

Shell Rummel Launches Rug & Pillow Collections via Surya

This is pretty spectacular news and I am honored to finally be able to share it:)  

For over two years, my design team and I have been working and waiting on the launch of my first collection with industry giant, Surya. A dream of mine, to design a line of rugs that feature my natural, organic art. The Natural Affinity rug collection will launch at High Point Market next month. The collection features an assortment of abstract organic wool rugs, all with my signature design aesthetic. A lovely collection of silk pillows will also be available to the trade. 

There is much to be said for being patient, holding onto your vision, trusting the process, believing in your own talents and having faith that it will all come together as it is meant to. A very proud moment for me and my design team. Enjoying the feeling...
